31 weeks!
A little late on posting so I apologize to the loyal followers of the blog for the delay! I didn't realize that many people were reading it faithfully (aka blog stalking).
Baby girl Naldjian is doing great. She's a mover! It makes me wonder how she'll be on the outside... will I have a trouble maker on my hands? Child birth class is going well although I think the class combined with the fact that we have 2 months left is getting me a little anxious about the birth. Nothing crazy just a little nervous about the pain... a natural fear I guess. I'm lucky that Abe is going to be quite possibly the best dad-to-be in the delivery room (although I'm sure all of you know that already.) I just have to brag about him a bit. In our class he's definitely the best out of all the daddy's-to-be (not that I'm biased or anything.) But he takes notes and remembers everything the instructor says even when I don't. I'm one lucky gal.
I'm so excited for my shower which is coming up in less than 2 weeks. I'm just excited to see everyone and visit. It's an exciting time for us and more than ever I want to be with family and friends.
I've heard this song on the radio a few times recently although I know it's not a new song... I just always changed the channel before because I'm not a big George Strait fan. It's called "I saw God today." He talks about his wife having a baby girl and there's a line where he says
"Got my face pressed up against the nursery glass
She's sleeping like a rock
My name on her wrist wearing tiny pink socks
She's got my nose, she's got her mama's eyes
My brand new baby girl
She's a miracle
I saw God today."
They really shouldn't have songs like these around pregnant women with all of our crazy hormones because I swear I can't listen to that song without crying every time. We've talked a lot about God since we found out I was pregnant and how, even if you're not a religious person, it's really hard to not believe in a higher power when you get to experience all of the amazing things that happen during pregnancy to produce this little person. It's crazy when you think about it.
Ok I'll come off of my soap box... sorry for the preaching. In other news... it's fall!!!! This past week was 100 degrees so I wasn't feeling the fall love but it's finally come down to mid 70's so I feel it coming and I can't wait. Another dr.'s appt. next week so I'll have more to report then... hopefully I got this weight gain in check... keep your fingers crossed for me!
