26 weeks!

How far along? As of Sunday 26 weeks.
Total weight gain/loss:As of my last dr.'s appt. 19 lbs.
How big is baby?: 2 lbs.
Maternity clothes? Yep. Plus Abe's big t-shirts and basketball shorts.
Stretch marks? Ughhh... yes. I've noticed quite a few already and I'm not happy about it.
Sleep: Surprisingly not too bad just yet. With the exception of Jodi waking me up a few times a night wanting to be pet. I think she's trying to get me ready for getting up several times a night when our baby girl comes.
Best moment this week: All of the movement I'm feeling. She's rolling around and kicking a lot. But the best part was that for the first time this week Abe felt it!
Movement: She's moving around quite a bit.
Food cravings: Nothing new really. I've been trying to be good about what I eat because at my last appointment I gained 8 lbs so I'm trying to take it easy on the fast food and junk.
Gender: still GIRL!
Labor Signs: Not really but I thought I had a Braxton Hicks contraction the other day but it could've just been a cramp.
Belly Button in or out? Innie still.
What I miss: Walking without waddling and being able to wear my wedding ring without it getting stuck.
What I am looking forward to: Finishing up the nursery, although we've got plenty of time.
Milestones: We're at the 3 month mark. It's crazy to think that in about 3 months we're going to have a baby. It's hard to wrap my head around that.

25 weeks

Apparently I've become brave because I decided to post a regular belly pic and a bare belly pic too! This past week has been fairly uneventful. We've both been working really hard to prepare for our baby girl. Abe has been placed for a student teaching position!!! He will be student teaching a 5th grade class at the elementary school down the street from our house so about a 2 minute commute if that... not too shabby! We're hoping he can start at the end of August so he'll be done mid-November right before our baby girl arrives. Otherwise he might have to work straight through (with the exception of her birth of course) for a few more weeks before he can get some time off. Either way we're just excited that he's one step closer to his dream of being a teacher.
I can't believe how fast time is going. Only 15 weeks left! I'm excited to see her, but still a little nervous because I feel like we're not prepared yet. Like most people say, once she gets here, you make it work. She's not even here yet, and she's already our motivation for all we do. I can't even imagine what it will be like once she's here.

24 weeks! Happy V day!

We've made it to V day (viability day). Basically that means that if the baby would be born today she would have a chance of making it (obviously with a lot of medical help and probably a lot of medical problems.) But I don't want her to get any ideas.... she needs to cook a lot longer in there.
I took my gestational diabetes test yesterday so hopefully we'll get good news on that soon. I had an interesting check up yesterday. When I got there, the medical assistant told me "I see you have an appt. with Elektra right after this." I was confused and thought she meant the diabetes test so I said "you mean at the lab?" and she said "no it's here." So I asked my midwife what it was and she said "hmmmm... they must have seen something and flagged your file. Don't get worried or anything." So, of course, I immediately worry because I still don't know what's going on and was never even told about this appointment. So I go back to the lab to have my blood drawn, then head back upstairs to meet with this "Elektra."
I meet with her in the office and she explains to me that she's a social worker who works in the hospital with expectant mothers and she wanted to ask me a few questions about my life and my pregancy. (ummmmm... ok.) And she proceeds to ask me lots of questions about my history, asking about any previous drinking or drug use. Umm does an occasional margarita (pre pregnancy of course) count? Any history of depression, does my husband beat me? All kinds of questions that are things I always check the "no" box to when filling out forms.
So at the end she was like "ok well I don't think we'll be needing to meet again." Ummm yeah I could've told you that! I have no idea why my file was flagged. All I know is they better not charge me for this!
I'm just happy that our baby girl is ok. When I didn't know what was going on I thought something was wrong. But she's doing great!

23 weeks!

The nursery has come pretty far. We're not totally finished but it's already looking great! Our cats seem to really like it ;) I'll keep this one short since we're leaving in just a few minutes to go camping for a few days. I'm excited since we've never been camping together before. We're going with a huge group so it should be lots of fun.
Here are some pics of my bump and our cat Jodi enjoying the nursery. I'll try to post when we get back.
